Description
This Quartett game features mountains, lakes, customs, traditional sports, specialties, Swiss inventions, and many other great themes. The goal of the game is to collect as many quartets as possible. Contents: 52 playing cards and instructions.
Swiss Quartett Rules
For 3–6 players, ages 7 and up.
Shuffle all the cards well and deal them out one at a time to the players, even if some players receive one more card than others. Each player checks to see if they already have a quartet (cards from a group labeled A–D). If so, they may lay them out immediately. The player to the left of the dealer starts and asks any player for a card that matches one of their cards. For example, if they have the card “01A – Matterhorn,” they can ask for a card from the “01 Mountains” group. If the player asked has the card, they must give it to the asker. The asker may continue asking until a player does not have the desired card. Now that player may ask for cards they are missing. Each complete set of four cards is immediately laid out face up. Players who have no cards left in their hand wait until the end of the game. The player who has laid down the most quartets by the end of the game wins.
